Joint Ventures (JVs) are another option and it is feasible to bring various parties together, either financial or technological, to form such a consortium. Some projects, like the two-stroke engine redevelopment, are major programmes and can benefit from the JV route as the costs of such developments can be shared between funding partners and/or large manufacturing companies in the field.
